What we look for on roofs in Montgomery and Chester County
The asphalt shingle roofs we inspect in Conshohocken and Blue Bell tend to fail the same few ways: worn or lifted shingles, flashing that has pulled away at a chimney or wall, cracked pipe boots, and ice damage at the eaves after a freeze-thaw winter. On the older homes in Malvern and Paoli we look hardest at valleys, dormers and old chimneys. After a storm, check the roof from the ground first, then call us for the close-up.

Is the inspection really free?
Yes. There's no cost and no obligation.
Do I need to be home?
It helps if you're there so we can walk you through what we found, but it's not required for the outside of the roof. For an attic check, someone will need to let us in.
How long does it take?
Usually under an hour, depending on the size of the roof and whether we check the attic.
Will you try to sell me a new roof?
No. If your roof is in good shape, we'll tell you that. If it needs a repair, we'll quote a repair.
Are free roof inspections legit, or a sales pitch?
Some are a sales pitch. Ours is an inspection: we photograph what we find, tell you whether to leave it, repair it or replace it, and leave you the photos. If the roof is fine, we say so and go. Get other opinions if you like; we'd rather you did than feel pushed.
Can I use the inspection for an insurance claim?
You can send your insurer what we give you: photos of the damage and a written description of what we found. We don't decide what your policy covers, and we won't invent damage to fit a claim.
